Got some good deals…

Very excited about all of the things I was able to pick up this week. It’s always a fun surprise when a $5 ECB spits out of the magic coupon machine at CVS because you hit another $50 spent on beauty products. I had problems at CVS using the P&G coupons…the cashier said I could only use one of my Covergirl coupons at a time because the coupon stated 1 coupon pur purchase. YIKES. Cashiers always confuse the term purchase with the term transaction.

• PER PURCHASE – Each item that you purchase is a single purchase. The wording on a coupon that says “one per purchase” is letting you know that you can use 1 coupon per item purchased.
• PER TRANSACTION – a transaction is your entire order. Typically P&G allows 4 like coupons in a single transaction.

I didn’t feel like fighting with this cashier…she was Jamaican and feisty and she did let me use the coupons and just do 3 separate transactions so I let it go.

Another month in couponing has come and gone. I felt like I didn’t do too well this month…but overall I spent $3.30 for $121.42 worth of products! Definitely a lower OOP this month, but also a lot less product as well. Can you believe all of that retails for $121?? That isn’t even a lot of stuff there! And I obviously need more shaving cream, right?

I loved this week in couponing

Ahhh look at all of this! This was an amazing week in couponing and it could have been ever better. Ever get up to the counter to check out and find you made a mistake, a good one, where you’re a few cents or dollars short of the ECBs you wanna use. And I panic because now there is a line and so I don’t make the most cost effective decision. That happened to me this week. I grabbed the toothpaste because it was on sale and close to the dollar amount I needed. But I could have gotten like 8 more shampoo/conditioners. Oh well.
