Ahhh the last weekend of summer has passed. It’s different this year because it is my first year not going back to school in September! Crazy. But anyway I did indulge a bit this weekend. I didn’t eat too horribly but I definitely didn’t eat like I would have at home. That always happens though. It’s so much easier to eat your own food that you bought and prepared to stay on track.
I did workout 3/4 days of the holiday weekend! I almost had a meltdown on Friday because I was so busy with work and errands that I didn’t think I was going to get a workout in. Does anyone else feel that way? There is something going on in my brain where I just feel icky if I don’t get a workout in every day. It sucks.
No weekly mileage this week since I couldn’t do my normal workouts over the weekend. I did a lot of weights and some elliptical but my favorite thing I did was workout in the POOL.
I also did some HIIT where I would tread with my legs only as hard as I could for 20 seconds and rest for 10. x8 reps with the help of the app Tabata Timer on my iPhone. And then I would do the same but only tread with my arms. Seriously killer.
Last night I had a dream I met Thor and couldn’t pick up his hammer….so I’m off to go workout my arms!
